Fantastic Reading

If you have read other books about this period in Indian history then you simply must read this one also. An excellent book which gives a personal window into the life and suffering of ordinary British people living in India in the mid 1850's. Then read David Saul's book about this period - Saul will give you the overall history of the events while An Englishwoman in India will give you a personal account. Both wonderful books.
